Your Daddy and I have been throwing around ideas for names. I laugh because his ideas make you sound African American. Not that there's anything wrong with a name like Kaya...but you're already going to be exotic enough. I imagine that you'll look like a Caucasian version of me or an Asian version of your father. Regardless, you'll be beautiful.
Here are my thoughts on girls' names -
Evangeline - Messenger Of Good News
Madison - Son Of Matthew
Mikayla - Who Is Like God?
Abigail - Joy Of The Father
Audrey - Noble Strength
Arianna - Very Holy
Cassidy - Curly Haired
So far, Evangeline is my favorite. I want to call you Eva. It sounds like a strong name, doesn't it?
For boys' names, I've only picked two - Benjamin or Jonah.
Your middle name would be David, after your father's father. He died young. I wish he could be around to meet you. Your Daddy was telling me stories of living on a pig farm when he was little. How he could run a combine and drive a car at 6 years old. I wish we could feed little piglets together with your grandpa.
We've been talking about raising you on a hotel resort in Southeast Asia. It would be a small diving resort, with less than 20 rooms. The location would be idyllic - oceanfront, waves lapping on the steps tiki houses, swaying palm trees and miles of private sugary-sand beach. You would be our little brown girl, surfing the Pacific and deep diving for pearls. We would read books together in the tropical sunshine. And you would perform traditional Filipino dances to entertain our guests.
Or you might grow up in suburban America.
It doesn't really matter anyway. You will have all the happiness I can possibly give you.
